Coaching Staff
Coach Carlos Marshall
Coach Marshall has been with the Orange County Hockey Club for the past eight years. While there he has developed excellent recruitment skills, an ability to retain players and grow the club's player participation. He utilizes positive reinforcement to develop players individual skills, understanding of team concepts and accountability. Since 2017, Coach Marshall has coached teams to a California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) State Championship, a CAHA State final game and 11 tournament championships.
Coach Martin Sanders
Coach Sanders has over 35 years of hockey playing and coaching experience. His most recent coaching experience is with the Orange County Hockey Club. At OC, he has coached 10U – 16U players at A/B to AA levels. He has instructed at over 100 camps. Coach Sanders focuses on preparing players to compete at the next level of their hockey career. He emphasizes hard work, grit, determination a growth mindset, self-advocacy and accountability. Since 2017, Coach Sanders has coached teams to 11 tournament championships and a California Amateur Hockey Association State final. Along with his USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certification, Coach Sanders is completing the student teaching requirements for a Master of Education degree.
Coach Izak (Zak) Giachetto
Coach Giacchetto began coaching in 2021 as a goalie coach. Prior to coaching, he played in goal at Tier-1 (AAA) level with the Jr. Ducks, San Jose Sharks and New Hampshire Avalanche. Coach Zak currently runs track full time at El Camino College.
