1st place Varsity smothers Panthers & collects 207 teddy bears and toys

The Varsity team had one of the biggest nights in Yorba Linda Hockey history. A determined team effort smothered the Panthers Hockey Club by a 51-12 shot total. By the end of the game our team of Yorba Linda Mustangs scored 10 unanswered goals as Nick Nagasawa scored his 1st Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League shutout. 9 players lit the lamp and four players had 3 point nights. With the win last night, Varsity moved into 1st place of the ADHSHL D3 Ridge Conference.

While the Varsity players accomplished a couple of our on-ice goals for the 2024-25 season, our Yorba Linda Hockey families, fans and those of the Panthers helped us crush our Teddy Bear Toss goal. The Varsity game alone brought in 207 stuffed  toys. With JV’s 176 tally, we more than doubled our 150 goal. THANK YOU!
